CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: After graduation, I worked for a year as a food service supervisor at a hospital, then spent five years as a foodservice manager for the dining program at University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law. For the past 20 years I was first a food service manager and then the director for the Associated Students in the retail operation of the Memorial Union at UC-Davis.
EDUCATION: B.S. in Dietetics and Food Admininstration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA
MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT OF MY JOB: Directing a $3.3 million retail operation with a unique model: we operate with about 225 part-time student employees who do 100 percent of our cooking, baking, serving, cashiering and supervising.We also have four student managers and serve over 7,000 customers a day!
