YIELD: about 1 1/2 cups
2 cups reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsps. minced garlic
2 Tbsps. minced fresh ginger
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. dark sesame oil and
1/2 tsp. black pepper.
In saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until mixture is reduced to 1 1/2 cups, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat; cool. Add 1 cup minced green onions and 2 Tbsps. sesame seeds. Cover and refrigerate.
