Whole Foods Looks to Put Salad Bars in Schools

Whole Foods has begun a campaign to put salad bars in up to 300 schools across the country, one for each of the grocery chain's individual store locations. The chain is soliciting donations, either to individual store locations or to a general fund. For every $2,500 raised by each individual store location, Whole Foods will send a salad bar starter kit to a school within 50 miles of that store. Schools can begin applying for the program on September 1. Elementary, middle and high schools are all eligible. To donate, apply or get more info, go to www.saladbarproject.com.
