Regina Toomey Bueno, MS, DHCFA, CHE, has accepted a new position as senior director of food and nutrition at NYU Medical Center, effective September 24th. The Food and Nutrition Services department at NYUMC has been in transition since the retirement of its long time director, Carol Sherman, earlier this year.
A past president of the American Society of Healthcare Foodservice Administrators (ASHFSA), Toomey Bueno will come to NYUMC after a 12 year stint as director of food, nutrition & transport services at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.
"I am looking forward to the chance to work with the great staff at NYUMC," Toomey Bueno says. "This is an excellent opportunity and I am excited about the possibilities it presents."
