Survey Shows Dramatic Farm to School Increase in Minnesota

A survey encompassing half of Minnesota's school districts shows dramatic growth in local food purchasing, reports the Twin Cities Daily Planet. The survey of 165 districts by the Institute for Agriculture & Trade Policy found that the number of districts participating in Farm to School programs rocketed from 10 in 2006 to 123 in 2010. Most of those participating also rated their experience either "very" or "somewhat" successful.
