Lawrence Oberkfell has been named COO of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association, a newly created position. He will be responsible for overseeing IFMA’s day-to-day operations and will direct the activities of the association in support of policies, goals and objectives established by the president/CEO and the board of directors.
Currently, Oberkfell is an operating partner at the GESD Capital Partners private equity firm in San Francisco. He also serves as the executive chairman of bread and cracker firm Milton’s Holding Co. Previously, Oberkfell held various top positions with Schwan’s Food Co., served as chairman/CEO of Surebeam Corp., president/CEO of Anchor Food Products and President/CEO of the Orval Kent Food Co. He is also a past chairman of IFMA.
