Following a policy change governing supplier relationships, Emory University is now working on bringing direct purchases from local farmers to campus, reports the Emory Wheel. The man charged with making it happen is Chaz Holt, who was hired a year ago as farmer liaison. He works with campus dining services provider Sodexo to secure direct procurement deals with farmers.
