Florida’s hospitals and senior living facilities have not had their onsite dining operations inspected for nearly a month because of state budget cuts, reports the AP. Day care centers, which were also affected by the cuts in the Department of Health, have continued with foodservice inspections taken over by the Department of Children & Families on a temporary basis. The quarterly inspections of all 286 hospitals and 671 nursing facilities in the state were halted in early July. Health Dept. officials say they are working on a temporary solution with other agencies.
