The National Restaurant Association's Dine for America fund-raiser to support the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund was to be held Oct. 5. Operators are encouraged to donate some or all of the proceeds from the day's business. For more information, visit www.dineamerica.org.
Many schools in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi were damaged and closed by the hurricane. The School Nutrition Association has established a fund to aid Gulf Coast school nutrition professionals.
