Whole Grains Council Honors Schools

Flik Independent School Dining has been named the grand prize winner in the 2010 Whole Grains Challenge of the Whole Grains Council. The company, a unit of Compass Group, also took the top prize in the College/University and K-12 Private School categories as well as earning two honorable mentions.

Five schools managed by Flik were recognized by the Whole Grains Council:

  • The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, which tied for the top prize in the College/University category;

  • The Park School of Brooklandville, MD and

  • The Village Community School of New York City, tied for the top in the K-12 Private School category;

  • The Maine School of Science & Math in Limestone, ME, and

  • Episcopal High School of Alexandria, VA, which both received honorable mentions.
