The University of Southern California (USC) Hospitality has opened its first contracted food service operation, the T-Rex Express Cafe, on the ground floor of the Natural History Museum located just down the block from USC’s University Park Campus in Los Angeles.

The café offers an inexpensive, family-friendly option for museum-goers and features prepackaged sandwiches and salads prepared fresh daily. Patrons can choose to sit inside the playfully decorated space, with dinosaur detailing on the brightly colored walls, or outside on the patio.

T-Rex Express Café is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. USC Hospitality operates 39 dining concepts on USC’s two campuses, as well as off -campus restaurants such as  e Lab, URBNMRKT, Rosso’s Pizzeria, and McKay’s restaurant. It has also opened  e Lot, a 20,000-sqaure-foot dining facility with eight concepts and a marketplace, brought two monthly farmers’ markets to USC’s campuses, and introduced new concepts such as Wahoo’s Fish Taco, Daphne’s Greek Café, and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to campus.

The Ronald Tutor Campus Center in the center of USC’s University Park campus is due to open this summer. It will feature dining options like an organic market, a food court and a fine-dining restaurant.
