Come Here Often?

GOOD MORNING: A student helps herself to a healthy start to the day with choices that are clearly marked as better-for-you options for breakfast.

Students at Indiana University are hitting the bar BEFORE class. The Eat Right Breakfast Bar, that is. The choices at the bar are part of the Eat Right concept, which aims to integrate a greater variety of whole grains, colorful fruits, nutrient-packed vegetables and healthy fats into the menus. The bars are located at the top four largest dining facilities on campus.

“The breakfast bar offers a variety of healthy grains and fresh fruits and allows students to choose a quick healthy breakfast option,” says Registered Dietetic Technician Susan Herr of IU's RPS Dining Services. “They can just go right up and grab anything they like, knowing everything on there is a healthy choice.”
