Revolution Foods serves freshly over 100,000 freshly prepared meals made with natural—organic and/or locally sourced where possible—ingredients each day to a growing client base of some 350 charter and inner city schools in Northern and Southern California, Texas, Colorado and the Mid-Atlantic, including Washington, DC, New York and New Jersey. The meals are either served in the cafeterias or in vending machines, and Revolution Foods augments the healthy message with educational materials and services.
Major clients include Oakland City Schools, with which it first launched its program in 2006, as well as schools in Denver, Houston and, most recently, New Orleans. The natural/organic ingredient sourcing is facilitated through a partnership with the Whole Foods retail grocery chain and its network of suppliers.
