An internal investigation shows that Oxnard Union (CA) High School District food services may have overbilled the state by millions of dollars for free/discounted school meals since 2005, reports the Ventura County Star. The two-year investigation by an outside auditor hired by the district was prompted by an employee complaint two years ago, focused on breakfast and lunch servings between 2005 and 2009.
