| Customers at the Gateway Cafè had the opportunity to spin the wheel to win water-themed prizes at the reopening. |
After a water main break shut down the main cafè at Pittsburgh's Gateway Center for a week, operator Metz & Associates re-opened it with a "splash" with a day of business-building promotions.
In a cafè decorated with a sea of balloons and attention getting signage, guests were given opportunities to spin a prize wheel to win an array of water-themed prizes such as water bottles, umbrellas, water pens, beach towels and tickets to water parks.
"Our guests really enjoyed our putting a fun spin on the situation," said Kevin Pullit, Metz's general manager & executive chef at Gateway Cafè. "They were also thrilled we were re-opening that quickly, especially with the cold weather already here."
An underground walkway connects the four towers of the Gateway Center to the cafè.
