Kiosks Give High School Students Meal Choice
Chartwells has opened Outtakes kiosks to serve students meals and snacks throughout the school day at East Grand Rapids (MI) High School, reports the Grand Rapids Press. The service is designed to capture a portion of the lunch business on the open campus as well as to provide students too time-strapped to stand in cafeteria lines an alternative way to get a nutritious, reimbursable meal. It also gives them an alternative to grab something to eat between classes or before going to afterschool activities. The choices range from breakfast and lunch sandwiches, fries, salads, nutrition/cereal bars and fruit. The district has projected revenues of up to $500 a day.
