Columbus Schools Names New Director
Columbus (OH) Schools has named Joe Brown director of its district food services, effective October 6. He joins the department after nine years with Aramark Healthcare, most recently at Grant Hospital in Columbus. Columbus Schools’ foodservice department has a $25.5 million yearly budget, but has been operating at a deficit that had to be filled with district funds. Former director Dudley Hawkey resigned in February. The district reportedly is still considering proposals from management companies to manage the foodservice program.
