“The excitement is starting to brew” in a six-week promotion to raise students' breakfast participation in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (NC), says Assistant Director of Child Nutrition Amy Harkey. With help from North Carolina Panther Muhsin Muhammad and the Southeast Dairy Council, the district will give prizes to schools who raise their breakfast participation the most, percentage-wise. Prizes include a football player breakfast and a fitness camp, Harkey says.
