School District, County Set Up Biodiesel Partnership

Pickens County (SC) School District has forged a partnership with the county to turn its used vegetable oil into biodiesel fuel for trucks and equipment, reports the Greenville News. The processing facility is being set up by the county and will also solicit used oil from other foodservice providers in the area, including universities and restaurants. Previously, the school district paid to have the used oil picked up and disposed of.
