The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has inducted Julie Flik into its College of Diplomates, a select group of professionals who actively support and strengthen the advancement of professionalism and education in the industry. Flik currently serves as a consultant to Compass Group based on her experience with FLIK International, the foodservice management company she started with her husband Rudi in 1971, which was acquired by Compass in 1995. She is a director emeritus of the NRA and past chair and trustee of the NRAEF. Also inducted into the College of Diplomates in the class of 2009 were Bert Cutino, COO of Sardine Factory and Jon Luther, executive chairman of Dunkin’ Brands.
