Fla. Plans State Control Over K-12 Nutrition Programs

Florida Gov. Rick Scott has signed a bill giving the state's new agriculture commissioner oversight of school food programs, reports the Orlando Sentinel. The move is expected to go into effect early next year after approval by the USDA. The only other states that have such an arrangement are New Jersey and Texas.
