Five Star Joins Canteen Network

Navigation Capital Partners, an Atlanta-based private equity firm, has increased its majority ownership stake in Five Star Food Service, a move that also effected a strategic realignment of the vending, OCS and café management firm. Among the changes are the naming of a new CEO, Alan Recher, and joining the Canteen Vending Services network as a franchisee operating in the Knoxville, Nashville and Chattanooga, TN and other select Southeastern markets. Five Star services more than 168 vending routes and manages 80 cafeterias from a network of nine branches and two culinary centers.
