The four major sports and entertainment industry foodservice contractors generated almost $4 billion from the industry in 2011, according to the Sports & Entertainment Venue Foodservice Trends in the U.S. report from MarketResearch.com. It also predicts that U.S. sports and entertainment foodservice revenue will reach $8.36 billion in 2012, up 5% from 2011.

The four top foodservice providers to sports and entertainment, along with the revenues they generated in the segment in 2011, are Aramark ($1.43 billion), Levy Restaurants ($1.37 billion), Delaware North Sportservice ($630 million) and Centerplate ($500 million).

The report also notes that foodservice providers to the sports and entertainment industry are aggressively improving food selection, food quality food, menu flexibility, and better customer service to enhance the fan experience.
