Church Collects Unused Concessions at UM Games

A food rescue effort by a local church has collected almost 10,500 pounds of unused food from the concessions operations during football games at the University of Michigan's Michigan Stadium this past fall, reports AnnArbor.com. The food is then distributed to local soup kitchens and food pantries. A similar effort is underway during the college basketball season for games at the school's Crisler Arena. The food had previously been thrown away.
