In 2013, Unidine continued to expand into new markets, securing new clients in Florida, Wisconsin, Kansas and Texas, while continuing to land new business in its existing Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets.
The company strengthened its executive team with the additions of Janet DePiero as VP-Human Resources and Karen Lyon as VP-Marketing.
Operationally, Unidine introduced its signature OHSOGOOD nutrition and wellness brand, featuring menu items that meet rigorous guidelines for calories, fat, sodium and fiber content. OHSOGOOD has been introduced through all three segments in which Unidine operates.
Also new is Fresh Benefits, a signature fresh food supplement program that substitutes costly commercial supplements with fortified meals, snacks and super smoothies. These are made from scratch using fresh ingredients, driving down costs while increasing enjoyment and improving clinical outcomes in senior living/long-term care and hospitals.
Finally, Unidine’s Puree With Purpose program was recognized with the Spirit of Innovation Award at the 2013 Senior Living and LTC Link Conference.
