In 2013 Thomas introduced two new concepts: Sliced Artisan Deli and The Hearth, the latter featuring traditional Italian based cuisine with homemade dough, sauces and featuring premium ingredients. It also increased its natural, healthy and gluten-free offerings as it continues to promote its Real Food Initiative.

A commitment to “lean” principles is being boosted with a new Genesis software system that will help reduce waste and streamline recipe development. Also, VP-Operations Greg Turpen has been promoted to COO and the company has merged into several new markets.
