After focusing on private schools and universities since its founding a decade ago, Epicurean diversified into the B&I arena in late 2011 and over the past year has grown its business in that segment. Schools continue to constitute the majority of accounts.
Also new is the Go Greener! sustainability education program, now in more than 30 of Epicurean’s locations, which provides helpful tips and info to customers to encourage sustainable practices.
That dovetails nicely with the company’s focus on socially responsible and environmentally sustainable business practices, such as the emphasis on purchasing products that reduce greenhouse gases and encourage the growth of organic farms and ranches, sustainable fisheries and artisan producers.
