Cura is one of two onsite foodservice divisions of the Eat ‘n Park Hospitality Group’s Onsite Brands Division (the other is #21 Parkhurst Dining Services). Originally operating exclusively in the senior dining segment, the company branched into hospital foodservice several years ago and has seen its business in that segment grow.

In the past year, the company continued its expansion into the hospital segment by adding Hudson Valley Hospital Center in New York and Jefferson (PA) Hospital. It also invested in the NetMenu Planner menu plan program for senior living communities, and NetNutrition, which provides customers with nutritional information about the different menu options.

Cura is also encouraging better working relationships between its dietitians and chefs by launching an RD/Chef Challenge program in which RD/chef teams compete to create customer pleasing dishes that also meet critical nutritional guidelines. The first Challenge took place last fall at Messiah Village in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Another recent initiative is a talent management program to identify and mentor future leaders and promote career development among staff.
