Aramark operates across the United States and internationally, providing a host of outsourced management services to corporate, public and institutional clients. In foodservice, it operates across all major onsite segments, with significant market share in each. The company traces its history to a vending concern founded in Philadelphia in the 1930s, but has been a significant international player in managed services since the 1960s. It has been privately held since 2007 when a group of investors led by former CEO and current chairman Joseph Neubauer purchased all outstanding shares.
