Del Monte Foods Co. has appointed David Allen executive vice president of operations and Larry Bodner executive vice president of finance.

“These appointments to expanded roles with increased responsibilities will significantly strengthen our senior leadership team and move Del Monte's execution capabilities to a higher level,” says Chairman/CEO Richard Wolford. Allen, who previously served as senior vice president of operations & supply chain, will now oversee all of the company's Operations & Supply Chain functions, including Del Monte Consumer Operations, International Operations and Special Markets, as well as his current responsibilities of Supply Chain and Pet Operations.

He joined Del Monte in June 2006 after serving as COO of U.S. Foodservice, CEO of WorldChain, Inc., vice president of worldwide operations at Dell Inc., and a variety of positions at Frito-Lay North America.

Bodner joined Del Monte in July 2003 from Market Compass, where he was chief Marketing officer. Before that, he was COO/CFO of SelfCare and held a variety of finance positions with The Walt Disney Co. and the Procter & Gamble Co.
