Bauscher Wins FAME Golden Director Award

Jefferson Cty. (KY) Schools dining head tops list of honored school directors.

Julia Bauscher, SNS, director of school and community nutrition services of Jefferson County (KY) Public Schools, has won the Golden School Foodservice Director of the Year Award in the 23rd annual Foodservice Achievement Management Excellence (FAME) Awards program. Silver Spirit Award: Craig Weidel, area supervisor, Mesa (AZ) Public Schools;

Silver Rising Star Award: Jessica Shelly, RS, REHS, MBA, food services director, Cincinnati Public Schools;

Silver Friend of Child Nutrition Award: Dayle Hayes, MS, RD, president, Nutrition for the Future, Inc., Billings, MT;

Gertrude Applebaum Lifetime Achievement Award: Shirley R. Watkins, president, SR Watkins & Associates, LLC
