Gerald Fowler, pub owner and evil genius behind the Naga Viper, the chili pepper he is referring to above that he says is the hottest on record. On the Scoville Scale, which measures chili pepper hotness, the Naga Viper scores 1,359,000, which is pretty impressive and frightening considering that jalapenos generally top out at around 5,000.
