People for the Unethical Treatment of Humans

The animal rights/vegan advocacy group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) may finally have jumped the shark (which they'd of course refuse to eat) with its most recent gambit: a website that will feature various images of animals and humans. The animals will be dead or penned up in factory farms while the humans will be very much alive and quite frisky. Neither will wear clothes.
The proposed site, which is expected to “qualify” for one of those new .xxx domain names reserved for porn sites, has already generated a fair amount of controversy, which of course suits PETA just fine. After all, it's not like this is anything new. PETA's YouTube site was shuttered in 2008 after it posted videos of nude celebrities, and previous ad campaigns have featured porn stars.
Looks like when it comes to flesh, PETA is of two minds: if it belongs to an animal, don't eat it; if it belongs to a human, bare it…
