Organic Man
While many people are willing to up the number of organic ingredients they incorporate in their diets, or even go all-organic for short stretches, few if any have gone to the lengths Dr. Alan Greene, a Danville, CA-based pediatrician, has. Dr. Greene, according to a report in the New York Times, has eaten exclusively organic for more than three years.
Has it made a difference? The Times quotes him as saying he has more energy, wakes up earlier and gets sick less frequently than before.
Whether that is from eating exclusively organic, from a placebo effect or from other factors is unclear.
After all, until the advent of industrial farming about a century ago, everybody ate all-organic all the time. And all that got us was rampant disease, stunted stature and an average lifespan of about 45…
