No Snake Soup for You...

South Korean authorities are cracking down on the sale of snake soup in restaurants, reports the AFP. Now there's a law enforcement problem we bet no one saw coming…

Apparently, Korean men regard the ingestion of snakes the same way American men regard the ingestion of Viagra or the possession of a Harley, if you get our drift.

The problem is that killing snakes is illegal in Korea, and conviction could net you up to a year in the slammer. So there is a supply problem.

Not sure we understand that particular law, though. Are snakes that rare in Korea? And if they are, why is that a problem?

Perhaps some entrepreneurial Korean can pull a reverse St. Patrick and get snakes INTO the country, and make a million or two in the process.
