Emergency Follies

“I ordered chicken nuggets and they don't have chicken nuggets.”
That's just one of the “emergencies” called in to 911 in Broward County, FL, where, apparently, nearly half the calls fall considerably short of the commonly understood definition of “emergency,” reports NBC Miami. Another caller lamented that the order taker behind the counter “was trying to force me to eat something off the menu that I don't want!” (for the record, burrito instead of sausage…)
Fast food ordering snafus seem to be a common source of tension for Broward County's citizens. Perhaps QSR chains operating in the area should try to up the customer sensitivity training (and quit pushing burritos on unwilling sausage fans…)
One wonders what the callers are hoping will happen when 911 gets on the case. Will they give the minimum wage worker behind the counter a stern lecture about the difference between a burrito and a sausage sandwich? Or will an actual SWAT team be deployed to make an emergency chicken nuggets drop?
