Too Big for the Big House

Too Big for the Big House

Of course, eating has its advantages in prison, at least if you are in a Canadian prison. According to a Montreal Journal report, Canadian authorities were recently forced to release a prisoner because he was too big.

The inmate, known as Big Mike, weighs 450 lbs. He can't use the chair in his cell and can barely use the bed. When other prisons refused to take him, the facility in Montreal decided to let him go, since he had already been behind bars for over two years, most of it awaiting trial.

Perhaps this could be construed as an act of mercy in the short term, but think of the message it sends to other superobese criminals…
