The dining team from Elmhurst (IL) Memorial Healthcare took the gold medal at a regional culinary competition held by the Association for Healthcare Foodservices (AHF) at the Elmhurst kitchens, reports the Elmhurst Patch. The winning dish, prepared by Elmhurst's Jim Roth and Yanka Manikatova, was orange-cranberry pork tenderloin in a mustard pan sauce with spiced-butter spaghetti squash, braised brussels sprouts & pancetta. The win moves Elmhurst one step closer to the AHF national culinary final, to be held during the group's national conference next June.
