Charlie and the Chuckles Factory

The candy man “makes the world taste good” because of all the wonderful stuff he puts in his wares, according to the hit song “Candy Man” from the 1971 movie “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.” A modern-day candyman in Berlin apparently took that a step farther and got himself arrested, according to a report from Reuters.

It seems the 23-year-old owner of a trendy sweet shop in one of the city's fashionable districts was putting more than “love,” “dew,” “a sigh,” “the sun” or other Willy Wonka-esque ingredients in his chocolates and lollipops. He cut to the chase and used marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms, which pretty much “makes the world taste good” indeed, at least until the law comes calling.

Which is what happened to this German goodies merchant. Police raided the place, seizing a load of illegal substances and even nabbing a customer who walked in looking to buy a bag of magic mushrooms (he made the mistake of buying it from one of the cops).

Sounds like we've got another Golden Ticket winner, except it won't be to tour the chocolate factory…
