Seafood Trends Can Add Up to Low Cost

Street foods of the world are projected to continue their popularity for a long time to come. The fish-taco craze in America, said to have begun in San Diego in the early 1980s after an entrepreneur tried the wonderfully simple fish tacos on the Baja Peninsula, is going strong, with more and more popular chains offering fish tacos.

Last year, Long John Silver's began offering Baja Fish Tacos, introducing a west-coast favorite nationwide.

In July, the chain ran a Free Baja Fish Taco Day promotion, which aimed to convert “skeptical customers” into fish taco fans, according to a press release from the company.

The convergence of the trendiness of retro foods, back-to-basics and comfort foods leads us to another great way to offer low-cost seafood.

Two words: tuna melt.
