Canteen Vending Services has acquired the vending and dining business, exclusive of the corrections operations, of CL Swanson Corp., an FM Top 50 Foodservice Management Company with 2010 revenues of $46 million, of which about 80 percent are derived from vending, with most of the remainder from managing dining operations and catering, primarily at business locations. As of last year, it operated in more than 900 locations.
Swanson operates in the midsection of the country, from Wisconsin through Illinois and Missouri into Tennessee and Arkansas. The deal includes Swanson facilities in Dubuque, IA; Rockford, IL; and Springdale, AR, while routes run from locations in Madison and Milwaukee, WI; Little Rock, AR; and Memphis will be folded into existing Canteen locations.
