VT Cancels IPad Ordering

Virginia Tech has halted the use of iPads as ordering devices at the Au Bon Pain units in its Squires Student Center because they frequently resulted in making redundant orders, reports the Collegiate Times. The ordering software didn't have a feature to tell customers when their orders were submitted, which prompted multiple orders that caused the station to make more sandwiches than requested, resulting in increased waste.
