UGA's Floyd, Fry Promoted

Two leaders at UGA have moved up.

J. Michael Floyd has been promoted to associate vice president for auxiliary services at the University of Georgia, where he began has career in 1986 and was most recently executive director for UGA Food Services. He will be responsible for providing administrative oversight for Food Services, Parking Services, Campus Transit, the UGA Golf Course, the UGA Bookstore, Bulldog Bucks, University Printing and Vending Services.

"Mike has proven his exceptional ability to both lead and manage a highly competitive enterprise,” says Tim Burgess, senior VP for finance and administration.

In addition, Jeanne Fry has been promoted to executive director of UGA food services. In her new role, Fry will oversee all meal plan operations, campus catering, food service retail operations, the central food storage warehouse, business services, IT, marketing, training and food service facilities management.

Fry started her career with UGA food services 13 years ago, moving upward through several management positions, most recently director of food services.

“UGA’s food services has been recognized as a national benchmark for university food services, which is a direct result of Jeanne’s role in the division,” Floyd says. “I know that in her new role, she will create great opportunities for UGA food services and continue to provide award-winning service for students and guests.”
