Texas A&M Announces System-wide Outsource Initiative

The Texas A&M University System has announced an outsourcing initiative that is expected to save its 16 campuses $92 million over 12 years.

Texas A&M University has announced system-wide outsourcing deal with SSC Service Solutions, a subsidiary of Compass Group North America, to privatize landscaping, building maintenance and custodial services at its 16 system campuses, reports Hispanic Business. The deal is expected to save the system a combined $92 million over the 12-year life of the contract.

Last year, Compass Group North America netted a $270 million contract for the main Texas A&M campus at College Station.
