A self-service ordering kiosks has speeded up service times at the Cyber Cafe in the FedEx Institute of Technology on the Univeristy of Memphis campus, reports the Daily Helmsman. Students use the unit to place orders, which automatically transmit to the food prep area, and then pay a cashier. A second ordering station is planned for the Cyber Cafe, and another one will also be placed in the new art building this fall.
