Farm to table? Great, but maybe a little predictable. I came across this very cool idea at Eater.com today: Farm to Disco! It's an event that's taking place in Austin, TX, and it's billed as "a night of glitz, glam and fondue."
Fondue is such a great way to showcase fresh, local vegetables and (ahem) cheese. It's also a total 70s thing, so it all ties in perfectly. There will be a DJ there, too. Definitely food for thought for the new year: taking something that's trendy but not necessarily surprising (farm to table) and placing it in a fondue pot/time machine!
