Strongsville (OH) City Schools and Dairymen’s Milk & Ice Cream Co. have been named the grand prize winners of the second Leadership in School Nutrition Award. The award is co-sponsored by the National Dairy Council and Dairy Field Magazine. It recognizes exceptional partnerships between dairy processors and schools through innovations in milk programming that utilize kid-friendly plastic packaging and a variety of flavors, a program dubbed the "New Look of School Milk." Each organization receives $5,000, to be used toward future school nutrition efforts. Runners up in the competition included Marietta (GA) Middle School and Mayfield Dairy, and Omaha Public Schools and Roberts Dairy.
