Ralcorp Holdings has signed a definitive agreement to purchase Bloomfield Bakers, a manufacturer of cereal bars and natural and organic specialty cookies, crackers and cereals, for $139.6 million. Bloomfield, which recorded net sales of $188 million in fiscal 2006, sells its products to branded businesses under co-manufacturing arrangements and to private label retail customers. It will become a part of Ralcorp’s Ralston Foods business unit.
