— the reaction of one diner to a version of Nutri-Loaf prepared by lawyer/freelance writer Arin Greenwood as a test of the dish, which is often used in state prisons to feed uncooperative inmates a sufficiently nutritious, yet punitive, no-utensils-required meal. Nutri-Loaf (the recipe differs somewhat from state to state) has been the subject of numerous lawsuits, many on so-cruel-and-unusual-it's-unconstitutional grounds.
