Officials at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport recently discovered that it hasn’t billed concessionnaire HMS Host for property taxes for the past 17 years. Instead, the city paid $5.4 million in property taxes for the 46,000 square feet of space HMS Host occupies at the airport. Auditors finally discovered the mistake recently while going over the books and will send HMS Host a bill for reimbursement. The company says it is reviewing the documents.
